Itinerary of the excursion
Early in the morning you will be picked up directly from your hotel. Your journey begins in a modern, comfortable, and air-conditioned vehicle. Marsa Alam to Luxor. The route leads via Safaga and the newly constructed desert road to Qena in the Nile Valley.
Along the way, we will take a short break at a rest stop so that you can relax, have a coffee or stretch your legs.
After continuing your journey along the typical country roads of Upper Egypt, you will experience authentic Egyptian daily life up close. You will drive past small villages, fields and local markets, gaining interesting insights into life along the Nile.
Upon arrival in Luxor, your cultural adventure begins with a visit to the impressive Karnak Temple – the largest temple complex in Egypt. The gigantic hypostyle hall with its monumental columns and the unique atmosphere of this historic site are particularly fascinating.
Afterwards, you will travel to the west bank of Luxor, where you will enjoy a typical local lunch in a relaxed atmosphere.
After lunch, you will visit the world-famous Valley of the Kings with its fascinating pharaohs' tombs. A particularly convenient feature: taking photos with your mobile phone without flash is now permitted free of charge inside the tombs.
Afterwards, you will visit the impressive terraced temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which is one of the most extraordinary buildings of ancient Egypt and offers a fantastic backdrop for souvenir photos.
Finally, you will visit the famous Colossi of Memnon, which have stood majestically at the entrance to the Theban necropolis for centuries.
After this eventful day, the return journey begins. Marsa Alam. Take the time to reflect on the many impressions of the day or to enjoy the view of life along the Nile.
